West Point's volleyball team picked up some hardware over the weekend.
The Lady Warriors turned in a 4-2 showing at the Labor Day Classic in Foley on Friday and Saturday, eventually beating UMS-Wright (25-13, 27-25) in the championship match of the bronze bracket.
West Point outlasted Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa (21-25, 25-21, 15-6) and Cottage Hills (25-19, 25-27, 15-8) to advance to the title tilt.
The Lady Warriors went 1-2 in pool play, losing to Pensacola, Fla. (25-13, 25-19) and Faith Academy (25-23, 18-25, 15-12) and defeating Foley (25-11, 25-15).
Lexi Shadix (46 kills, 15 blocks, nine digs and six aces), Braelee Quinn (28 kills, 18 digs and 12 aces), Molly Pendley (22 aces, 22 digs and 20 kills), Gracie Thompson (50 assists, 11 digs and three aces), Kayla Kilpatrick (17 digs and three aces) and Kyla Kilpatrick (31 assists, eight digs, six aces and two kills) provided the top contributions for West Point at the two-day tournament.
