Athlete of the Week

Fairview's Tyvn Ellis.

Fairview ran over, through and around DAR last Friday to notch a 62-41 win.

And Tyvn Ellis put on quite the show for those in attendance.

The senior running back carried the ball 32 times for 302 yards and six touchdowns in the road and region victory over the Patriots.

Ellis' performance helped the Aggies achieve their best offensive showing since 2016.

Let's go ahead and make it official — Ellis is The Times' Athlete of the Week.

Tyler Simmons (16 carries for 111 yards and two touchdowns) and Parker Martin (eight carries for 79 yards) also contributed to Fairview's ground attack.

Martin threw for 70 yards and a touchdown and made eight tackles as well.

JT White caught five passes for 54 yards and a touchdown. He also had an interception.

Levi Garner, Ethan Bice, Tyde Bagwell, Charles Dukes and Adam Parker were the offensive linemen responsible for paving the way to 492 rushing yards.

Athlete of the Week, which is sponsored by Tony Serra Nissan, is open to all local athletes.
