Cullman’s Abby Branham and Hannah Bircheat were named to the United Soccer Coaches Alabama Girls High School Super All-State Team (Class 1A-7A) last week.

The Lady Bearcat standouts also earned respective first-team spots in 6A.

Branham capped off an impressive career with 42 goals and five assists this past season. The Birmingham-Southern signee netted 166 goals and corralled four state records during her prep tenure with Cullman.

Bircheat, meanwhile, has helped the Lady Bearcats record 23 shutouts since being on varsity.

The junior was named a North-South All-Star earlier this year.

Addie Echols, Abigail Lawson, Jeta Falcon and Pia Muri were honorable mentions.

“I am extremely proud of the girls for their accomplishments,” Cullman coach Jacob Brown said. “Although our season ended earlier than expected, it was a phenomenal year for us, and we look forward to building on it.”

The Black and Gold finished the 2019 campaign with a 16-5-2 record.
