FAIRVIEW — The Lady Aggies pulled away late in Tuesday's home game against Good Hope, earning a 42-31 victory inside Joe Shults Gymnasium to improve to 6-1 this season.

Fairview led only 23-21 at halftime, and the Lady Raiders eventually tied things at 27-all late in the third quarter.

Coach Justin Billings' squad, however, turned up the defensive pressure and closed the county clash on a 15-4 run to claim an area win.

Daisy Manasco (nine), Emma Garcia (nine) and Molly McKelvy (eight) paced the Lady Aggies offensively.

Maddie Yeager (six), Jaycee Aleman (four), Payton Golden (two), Katie Ball (two) and Isabella McGukin (two) contributed for the Purple and Gold as well.

"At halftime, we realized we needed to get our head in the game, or we were going to lose both a county and an area game," Yeager said. "We weren’t doing the little things, but we eventually picked it up."

Rudi Derrick (nine) was the top scorer for Good Hope, which dropped to 5-2 this season. Savanna Derrick (six), Abby Neighbors (five), Heather Tetro (five), Ivey Maddox (four) and Bailey Tetro (two) also pitched in offensively.
