WEST POINT — The Warriors missed out on the playoffs last season for the first time since 2013.

And they didn't like it one bit.

So when West Point kicked off fall camp earlier this week, the message from head coach Don Farley was relatively straightforward.

Control the things you can control, and focus on today.

With a hungry but somewhat inexperienced roster, the Maroon and White will look to begin another playoff streak this fall.

 2019 West Point Warriors

% Head Coach: Don Farley

% Last Year's Record: 3-7 (0-7 in Class 5A, Region 7)

% Key Departures: Kolton Sapp, Rylan Jones, Brayden Martin, Hunter Persall, Carson Moon, Colby Jones, Michael Roberts

% Key Returners: Will Cochran, Levi Farley, Whitt Laney, Kobe Bowers, Brody Rusk, Will Brown, Erik Griggs, Cooper Couch, Tyler Thompson, Dathan Campbell

% Coach Speak: "Just like everybody in the region, just like everybody in the state — we're ready to get going. We're really wanting to focus on us. I think we tended to focus on the result last year and not what it takes to make that result happen. With the playoffs being the ultimate goal, we focused too much on that and not enough on the now." — Don Farley

% Player Speak: "It feels good to be back out here and get reps in. We're looking forward to a great year. I feel like everybody's more committed and working harder than we did last year." — Will Brown

"I'm very excited to be back out here. I didn't get to play last year, so I'm chomping at the bit. We are very positive and very energetic." — Dathan Campbell
