A Hanceville man is in custody following a traffic stop in which officers found methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Two men are under arrest after leading police on a high speed chase that began in Morgan County, came through Cullman and ended with the vehicle crashing in Morgan County on Hwy. 31.

“It’s a game-changer,” said Kristen Munger, Assistant Director of Nursing at Hanceville Nursing and Rehab of how utilizing Medication Assistants will benefit the workflow at their facility.

USA Healthcare’s North Alabama nursing homes were some of the first to take advantage of a new certification that allows nursing assistants to administer medication to help lighten some of the load for nurses who may be facing a heavier workload while in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

If you’re interested in becoming a phlebotomist, medication assistant or certified nursing assistant, you can register for those programs at Wallace State Community College and complete training in less than two months.
