A festival next month is geared toward helping the family of a child who is receiving treatments for brain cancer.

The Walker “Bubba” Jolly Charity Festival is Oct. 6 at the Warrior Ball Park. Organizers still need help from business owners and individuals.

Walker Jolly, a 6-year-old who lives in Hayden, has started radiation and chemotherapy treatments. All proceeds from the festival will go to the family to help with medical expenses.

The festival will include vendor booths including food, a children’s play area with games and inflatables, items for raffle and auction, entertainment and more.

Hope Floats will be there to sell raffle tickets for a bass boat.

Also, raffle tickets will be sold for a T-shirt quilt donated by the Quilting Rack in Mt. Olive.

Ways to help include:

  • renting a booth for $25 to sell a product or service
  • donate cash to pay for signs or inflatables for the children’s area
  • donate a product or gift certificate that can be raffled or auctioned
  • donate candy or prizes to be given at the children’s area
  • allow organizers to leave fliers about the festival in a business

Signs around the park will thank businesses that contribute to the fundraiser.
