The victims of a Sunday afternoon plane crash have been identified.
According to Cullman County Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick, Tyler Wesley Walker, 40, and his daughter Brooklyn Walker, 10, of Vinemont died when the Vans RV-6 they were in crashed off the end of Runway 2 during departure from Cullman Regional Airport-Folsom Field in Vinemont.
The FAA will investigate and the NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) will determine the probable cause of the accident.
The RV-6 is an American kit aircraft from Vans Aircraft. According to Vans, the RV-6 was introduced in 1986 and became the best-selling kit aircraft. It was discontinued in 2001 and replaced with a newer model, although the company continued to supply parts for the plane.
