Rainy weather kept Santa from arriving by helicopter, but that didn't dampen the good cheer at the annual Cullman Elks Lodge Christmas party for Head Start students on Saturday. The event has been going on "As long as we've been around" according to Elk Gwen Parker.

Santa, representing Toys for Tots, brought along a stuffed animal for each of the students. Each child also received a wrapped gift from the Elks, a goodie bag provided by Encompass Health, and a basket of fresh fruit. Around 100 children enjoyed pizza and cookies and coloring activities. Any extra gifts will be distributed by Toys for Tots.
