This week marked the grand reopening of Jack’s restaurant in Dodge City. Since its opening almost 19 years ago, Jack’s has played an integral part in the Dodge City community.
For close to a decade, the Dodge City location has sported the same, recognizable southern style and décor. Now, Jack’s is adorned with new upgrades that both highlight the restaurant’s bright future and pay tribute to its rich home-grown past.
After closing the dining room in October to make way for the renovations, the restaurant reopened its doors this week to loyal local customers awaiting the new look. The Dodge City location is now gussied up with brand-new furniture for the dining room, an old-fashioned ice cream counter and an outdoor porch. Further improvements include a newly bricked fire place, flat screen TV for the mantle and an almost complete face lift to the exterior of the restaurant.
“It’s just really great for the community. Everyone has been coming out to see it and they’ve all loved it and have been really excited for the change,” said Jack’s team member Jaynet Butler.
To celebrate, Jack’s is giving away an array of prizes for customers through reopening week. On December 9, the first 50 customers who braved the early 4 a.m. opening received free Jack’s food for a year. For the remainder of the week, customers can win goodies like discounted catering, sausage biscuits, full combo meals and more.
