Two Cullman County men have been charged with first-degree kidnapping and robbery after an investigation that led local deputies to Tennessee
Joshua Gerald Lott, 28, of Hanceville, and Nathaniel Riley Thomas, 35, of Cullman, were arrested Thursday after Cullman County Sheriff's deputies received information that the men had traveled to Tennessee after taking a victim from his home at gunpoint. The investigation began Wednesday night.
It was also determined early during the morning of March 7, the suspects were just outside of Chattanooga, and CCSO enlisted the assistance of Tennessee law enforcement to detain the suspects. The victim was located and was unharmed.
“We can’t go into a lot of detail at this time due to certain aspects of this case still being investigated but I would like to thank the deputies, investigators and Tennessee law enforcement officers who helped us arrest these two suspects,” said Sheriff Matt Gentry.
Both suspects are in the Cullman County Detention Center on $70,000 bonds, respectively.
