One of the biggest names in country music is coming to Cullman. Grammy Award-winning country artist Alan Jackson has signed on as a main headliner for the 2015 edition of Rock the South, joining an expansive line-up of both established and young artists.

“Alan Jackson is one of the most recognizable voices in country music history,” Rock the South producer Nathan Baugh said. “With over 80 million records sold, 35 Number 1 hits, 50 top 10 singles, 2 Grammys, 16 CMA awards, and 17 ACM awards, Jackson will easily be the most successful artist to perform at Rock the South to date. We're honored to have this country legend and his fans visit our hometown.”

Jackson joins previously announced acts Sara Evans, Jon Pardi, Eric Paslay, Blackberry Smoke, Big Smo, Travis Tritt, Corey Smith, Tyler Farr, Brantley Gilbert and DeeJay Silver. More artist announcements are expected next week.

The festival will be hosted at Heritage Park in Cullman on June 19-20.

Tickets will go on sale in three different phases, with earlier ticket sales going for the lowest prices. Pre-sale tickets will be available Feb. 12-14, early bird tickets from Feb. 14 until April 30, and regular tickets from May 1 until the day before the event on June 18.

“Rock the South anticipates the biggest on sale in festival history this Thursday morning at 10 a.m.” Baugh said. “Go to for all the details.”

Regular general admission tickets for the two-day festival have increased from $49 to $69; platinum tickets have increased from $99 to $119; VIP tickets have increased from $199 to $219. Organizers have also added an Ultimate VIP tier, which will be available for $459. A “Field Party” ticket is also available for $119, which provides access to a 350-person area in front of the stage with private bar access.

Though the regular ticket prices have increased, the pre-sale tickets available from February 12-14 match last year’s regular prices. The early bird tickets will be sold for $10 above the pre-sale price for every category except Ultimate VIP. Ultimate VIP tickets will be available for $399 at pre-sale, $429 at early bird and $459 at regular price.

The platinum ticket tier includes a seat and designated viewing area for the concert. The VIP tier includes a chair in a designated viewing area, paved parking, private air-conditioned restrooms and private festival access. The new Ultimate VIP tier includes reserved front row seating, paved parking, a private bar, a meet-and-greet with an artist of the person’s choosing, air-conditioned private restrooms and a private entrance.

Rock the South has quickly grown into one of the biggest events in Cullman history, hosting popular acts such as Sara Evans, The Band Perry, Little Big Town and Charlie Daniels. Last year’s event brought more than 30,000 people to the city over a two-day span.
