Here are the guidelines for placing a wedding or engagement announcement in The Cullman Times.

• All wedding announcements will be published in Sunday’s edition. All engagement announcements will be published Wednesday.

Deadline for publishing wedding announcements is 120 days (four months) after the event.

• All wedding and/or engagement forms must be signed by the person who filled out the form along with a phone number in the appropriate space on the back of the form to ensure that the information provided is correct. Failure to do so could delay or prohibit publication of the announcement.

• For publication in the Sunday paper, photographs and forms must be submitted by no later than 5 p.m. on the Monday prior; and for Wednesday’s paper by 5 p.m. the Friday before. Publication is based on a first-come, first-serve basis and space availability.

• Because of space restrictions it may be necessary to edit the announcements to eliminate parties and simplify gown descriptions. In order to ensure the most complete announcement of your wedding, we suggest that you keep gown, accessory and floral descriptions as simple as possible.

The Times will be glad to publish wedding stories the day after the event, if the write-up and photo is received by Thursday of that week.
