The Cullman Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the Adelsheim subdivision early Thursday morning.

Investigators said that the suspects fired at least seven rounds into an occupied residence and a vehicle parked outside in an act that may have been targeted at a single individual.

“Right now all options are open in this case,” said Lt. Craig Green. “But, because the damage was isolated to one home, it looks to be targeted.”

Patrol officers responded to a noise complaint at around 1:30 a.m. and arrived at the scene to find no suspicious activity — it was not determined that shots were fired until the unnamed owner of one home woke to find their residence and vehicle riddled with bullet holes.
