Funeral services for Elizabeth Anna Mangum, 74, of Cullman will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Frs. Kevin McGrath and Marcus Voss and Abbot Cletus Meagher officiating, with entombment in Cullman Heritage Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Mangum died Thursday, Feb. 21, St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham. She was born on Sept. 27, 1933, in Cullman to Bill Hauk Sr. and Ella Clark Hauk. She worked in banking. She also worked as a dental hygienist for Dr. E.G. Plunkett before entering the banking business at Central and Leeth National Banks. She retired in 1996 to spend time with her family and travel with her husband, Bill. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, “Nana” traveled all over to support her grandsons in their sports activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Alan Mangum; two brothers, Ernest and Bill; and a sister, Venita.

Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Bill Mangum; two daughters, Cynthia (Craig) Daniel and Phyllis (Jerry) Thompson; two grandsons, Chase Thompson and Keegan Thompson; in-laws, Esther Hauk, Jo Needham, John and Sue Mangum and Nell Payne; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sacred Heart Church or Hospice of Cullman County.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m.
