Twelve of Cullman County's elected officials listed in Wednesday's edition of The Cullman Times as having failed to file their annual financial reports as required under the Fair Campaign Practices Act, did in fact file their forms prior to Tuesday's deadline.

The error was confirmed by Tammy Brown, office manager of the Cullman County Probate Judge's Office, which is charged with collecting reports or waivers from elected officials within the county. Brown detected the mistake when the names of officials listed as delinquent in the newspaper didn't correspond to the list of names office personnel provided to the paper.

"Errors occur, but we just wanted our elected officials to know that their annual reports were received and accounted for," Brown said.

Elected officials who should have been listed as having filed their annual report, which provides an accounting of any campaign contributions or expenditures during the 2005 calendar year, include the following:

• Cullman County Board of Education: Steve Freeman, Danny Alldredge, Sheila D. Kretzschmar, Wendy Crider, Randy Hasenbein and Jimmy R. Lynn.

• Dodge City: Mayor Perry Ray and council members Priscilla Stewart, Tawana Canada, Anthony Todd, Inez McDonald and Ervin Chumley.
