Mitchell - Echols wedding

CULLMAN — Jason Mitchell and Melea Echols were united in holy matrimony on July 23, 2011. The double ring ceremony was performed at Evans-Brook Farm in Jones Chapel and officiated by Rev. Tommy Graves.

The bride was given away by her father and her son, CJ Lang. Her other son, Grant Lang, served as ring bearer. The groom’s daughter, Maddie Mitchell, served as flower girl.

The bride wore a full-length empire waist gown made of white satin with organza overlay adorned with white rosettes and pearls and a matching headpiece. The bride carried a bouquet of red and white roses, carnations, and babies breath intertwined with pearls and red and white ribbons.

The groom and her sons wore matching attire with custom made red leather vests, white button down shirts, denim jeans, cowboy hats and boots.

The groom's daughter wore a bride’s replica tea-length white satin and organza dress  complete with ballerina slippers and a rhinestone tiara.

Music was a collection of love songs chosen by the bride and groom.

The reception was held under a pavilion on the grounds of Evans-Brook Farm. It was catered by friends and family of both bride and groom. Refreshments included a three-tiered red velvet cake adorned with fresh red roses and pearl accents designed by the bride and made by Christy Engler.

The groom is the son of Charles and Sharon Harrell of Jacksonville, Fla., and Raymond Mitchell of Cullman. He is a 1997 graduate of West Point High School.

The bride is the daughter of Gwendol and Ida Echols of Cullman. She is a 1997 graduate of Cullman High School.

The couple and their children will reside in Cold Springs, Ala.
