2 men wounded by gunfire in Auburn shootings

AUBURN, Ala. — Police in Auburn are investigating shootings that left two men wounded an apartment complex.

The Opelika-Auburn News reports that both men were hit by gunfire Saturday night. Auburn police were continuing to search for a suspect.

The wounded men have been identified as 20-year-old Randy L. Holland of Auburn; and 24-year-old Lorenzo O. Jackson of Opelika.

Auburn police said officers were called to the Hyatt House Apartments in the 300 block of North Gay Street where they found Holland suffering a from a single gunshot wound to his right leg and Jackson shot once in each of his legs.

Both Holland and Jackson were taken to the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika. Their conditions were not available.
