MONTGOMERY, Ala. —
Authorities say the parents of an inmate, accused of failing to show up at a facility in Baldwin County after working at a job site, have returned him to custody.
The Alabama Department of Corrections said Anthony Lafayette Brunson did not return to the Loxley Community Based Facility after working in Loxley on Wednesday. Law officers were notified to be on the lookout for him.
Agency officials said Thursday morning that Brunson contacted his parents overnight, and they picked him up and returned him to custody.
Officials say Brunson, who was serving a five-year sentence in Mobile County for arson, will be transferred to a secure facility.
