  • Fairview QB Club Fishing Tournament

    The Fairview High School Quarterback Club will have a fishing tournament Saturday at Smith Lake Park. Fishing will begin at safe light and conclude at 3 p.m. If two flights are necessary, then one weigh-in will be at 3 p.m. and another at 3:15 p.m.

    The Wallace State Community Education Department is offering golf classes this spring at the Cullman Golf Course. Two sets of classes will be available and instructed by Ches Harris, a PGA professional and course director.

  • West Point-Vinemont 30+ football game

    The West Point Warriors and Vinemont Eagles have put together a 30-and-over football game as a fundraiser for their athletic departments. The classic matchup will take place at 6:30 p.m. April 14 at Vinemont’s football stadium.

  • AJGT Arrowhead Junior Classic

    Cullman junior golfers ages 11-18 are invited to compete in the AJGT Links on the Bayou Junior Class in Alexandria, La., April 14-15. The two-day, 36-hole tournament is ranked by the National Junior Golf Scoreboard and hosted by the Arrowhead Junior Golf Tour. Registration includes two days of greens fees, tee gifts and trophies in four age divisions.

  • Golfing for a Mission

    Bethlehem West Missionary Baptist Church will have a two-man scramble tournament April 14 at the Chesley Oaks Golf Course. The cost to register is $60 a player, which includes two mulligans, with all proceeds going toward the church’s mission trip to Uganda. Breakfast and lunch will be served.
