Finish the Race Golf Tournament

CULLMAN — The third annual Scott Lochridge Foundation Finish the Race Golf Tournament will be Saturday at the Cullman Golf Course. The four-man scramble competition will begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start. The cost to register is $75 per golfer or $300 per team. Lunch and drinks will be provided.

To register early, contact Scott Lochridge at 256-531-2248 or at scottlochridgefoundation@yahoo.com. Registration will be open until 15 minutes before the tournament.

Merchants Bank Charity Classic
The 19th annual Merchants Bank Charity Classic will be held Aug. 6 at TP Country Club. Lunch will be at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start kicking off play at 12:30 p.m. The entry fee will be $500 per team or $125 per player, which includes lunch, greens fees and dinner for each player and a guest. There will be prizes for the top-three golfers in the gross and net divisions, as well as those closest to the pin on each par 3.

Wallace State basketball camps
Wallace State men’s basketball coach John Meeks and the state-champion Lions will host its third and final summer session of the Wallace State Basketball Academy today-Aug. 3.
The camp is open to boys and girls ages 5 to 17 and will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day at Wallace State’s Tom Drake Coliseum, as well as the Wellness Center.
