Cullman's girls cross country team secured the title at last Saturday's Bearcat 2-Mile.

The Lady Bearcats had five runners place in the top 15 (Della Kelly, second; Jennifer Aviles, third; Bernarda Tizapa, fourth; Ivy Edge, sixth; and Tess Heaton, 14th) en route to a sizable triumph over runner-up Grissom.

Holly Pond's Camilla Chambers sped to a first-place finish individually.

Due to a power outage, however, times and other individual results weren't available following the girls race.

Cullman's boys, meanwhile, crafted a second-place showing behind the 5-6-7 effort of Will Thompson, Jackson Tucker and Edgar Medina.

Caleb Guthery (10th; St. Bernard), Adam Mangum (14th; Cullman), Peyton Bailey (15th; Fairview) and Seth Walker (20th; Cold Springs) also finished in the top 20 for their respective squads.
