Sacred Heart Elementary's May Crowning
Students at Sacred Heart Elementary School in Cullman, held their annual May Crowning of the Blessed Mother, during Mass services Sunday. Students carried flowers from their gardens to honor the Mother of Jesus.

Rev. Hermetz remembered at Lutheran Church convention
One of Cullman’s longest serving ministers, the late Rev. Harold Hermetz, pastor emeritus of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, recently was honored by the Southern District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) at the church he founded in the 1950s as a new pastor.

The Rev. Dr. Stanley Kilgore, senior pastor of Center Grove Baptist Church in Cullman, and former pastor of North Gardendale Baptist Church of North Gardendale, was awarded its highest honor given by Southern Bible College and Seminary of Knoxville, Tenn., March 22, 2013.
