Sacred Heart of Jesus Church/Barbara Ragsdale
The Alliance of the Two Hearts, part of the Alliance of the Holy Family International formed in 1986, plays an active and vital part in the religious ministry of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church parish.
This family movement aims to sanctify the family by the committed love of Jesus and Mary, His Blessed Mother. During their monthly “Night of Reparation,” families are sanctified by concentration in prayer to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and by living the Eucharistic centered, Communion of Reparation with its combined four elements (rosary recitation, confession, reception of Holy Communion and Holy Hours of Adoration).
Pope John Paul II, citing a “Culture of Death”, in all societies worldwide, advocated his church followers to make the Alliance of the Two Hearts known, understood and loved throughout the world. By celebrating the Communion of Reparation there is a “chance the brokenness can be healed through the heroics of a ‘FEW‘ throughout the world who make the sacrifice of praying all night.”
The Vigil which advocates committed love, is held each First Friday-First Saturday of every month starting with Mass at 7 p.m. followed by recitation of all four mysteries of the rosary, confession, Nine Offices of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Eucharistic adoration, Communion and the Saturday vigil Mass at Midnight in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The vigil ends at 1 a.m..
This prayer event is open to everyone and the Vigil is done in both Spanish and English. Phil or Connie Frappaolo can be contacted for more information at 256-347-8123 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
