Where’s the light?

— This is an open letter to Mayor Don Green and the Cullman City Council.
In October we wrote a letter to The Cullman Times about getting a light at Main Ave. and Olive Street S.W. on Oct. 19, 2007. A reply came from the city of Cullman in The Cullman Times, stating that a light was on the way.
Mr. Paul stated, "All of the materials, but the traffic poles, have been purchased and in stock for several months."
"We are in a holding pattern with the people who supply the poles," he said. If the poles come in, Paul was hoping to put the traffic light up by the end of October 2007.
It is now the middle of March, 2008. The poles have been up for a month or more, but we still don't have a light at Main Ave. and Olive Street S.W. We are still waiting on the light down here. The accidents keep happening, and we are all praying that no one gets killed. Mr. Mayor, what is the hold up now? Please finish the light you’ve promised.
