Mary Viola Tuckerman

Funeral services for Mary Viola Tuckerman, 87, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009, at Grace Episcopal Church, the Rev. Bob Blackwell officiating.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Tuckerman passed away Sunday, Aug. 2, at Cullman Health Care and Rehab. She was born June 18, 1922, in Rhode Island to Chester A. and Florence M. Bennett Tuckerman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Tuckerman.

Survivors include two daughters, Carole (Robert) Grinnell of Cullman, Diane (Joel) Burrell of Anderson, Ind.; two sons, Frank (Janet) Tuckerman of Anderson, Ind., and Wayne (Gail) Tuckerman of Coker, Ala.; a sister, Ann Stergis of Pittsfield, Mass.; a niece, Bet Butler of Providence, R.I.; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cullman Regional Medical Center General Fund, Grace Episcopal Church, Hospice of Cullman County, Omega Hospice or Cullman Nursing Home and Rehab.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
