Funeral Services for Joseph “Joe” Brock, 63, of Cullman will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, in the Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, Bros. Ricky Holmes and Stanley Kilgore officiating, with interment in Center Grove Cemetery.
Moss-Service Funeral Home of Cullman is directing.
Joe passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Aug. 20, 1949, in Cullman to Leonard Coy and Aline Smith Brock. He served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard, was a member of Center Grove Missionary Baptist Church and worked at General Dynamics for the past 36 years. He loved to fish and ride his “Harley”; when riding with his buddies, he had traveled most of North America, but one of his most beloved times was spending it with his grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Howard Brock; and four brothers-in-law, James Johnson, Lester Veal, Charles M. Easterwood and Wallace D. Easterwood.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Jo Easterwood Brock; a daughter, Lori (Daniel) Yokley; a grandson, Brock Daniel Yokley; four sisters, Zula Johnson, Barbara (Theodore) Beckingham, Mary Bell Veal and Frankie Jean (John M.) Smith; a brother-in-law, Mitch Easterwood; friends, Robert Roden and Brady Rogers; a host of nieces and nephews; and a special buddy, “Taz”.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Ponder, Mike Ponder, John Harper, Jason Smith, Jonathan Smith, James Johnson, Rodney Carden and James Collier.
Visitation will befrom 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
