Carl Franklin Swann
Funeral services for Carl Franklin Swann of Arkadelphia will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at Gardendale Funeral Home Chapel, Bro. Harce Swann and James Mason officiating, with interment in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
Gardendale Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Swann passed away Thursday, Dec. 6. He retired as an iron worker after 40 years of services. He was a member of Mt. Olive First Baptist Church and a member of the McCarty/Farrah Masonic Lodge in Mt. Olive.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sadie Ann Swann; a daughter, Rebecca Ann Swann; an infant son, Carl Dale Swann; and his parents, Adolphus and Rudy Swann.
Survivors include a daughter, Dianne (Steve) Burgett; a grandson, Jeremy (Natalie) Burgett; a granddaughter, Stephanie (Colt) Reese; and 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lottie (Nola) Fines of Mt. Olive and Betty Fines of Gardendale; and loving friend and companion, Joan Malpass.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
