CULLMAN — James Fred Quattlebaum

Memorial services for James Fred Quattlebaum will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.

Mr. Quattlebaum’s adventure began Aug. 5, 1927. He is a man who was proud to serve is country with the 82nd Airborne, a man who combined disciplined farm boy values and a savvy business mind to provide for his family, and a man who valued truth, honesty and hard work above all else. For those that had the privilege of sharing his journey, they will remember his sparkling blue eyes, mischievous boyish antics, love of weaving tall tales, and most of all, dedication to family. His life is certainly one to be celebrated as it was filled with laughter, accomplishment, and love until his passing Wednesday, Jan. 23.

Mr. Quattlebaum is survived by his wife, Donna Thompson Quattlebaum; four children, Tim (Shirley) Quattlebaum, Joe (Susan Cornelius) Quattlebaum, Mike (Jeannette) Quattlebaum and Christy Quattlebaum St. John; and four grandchildren, David Quattlebaum, Matthew Quattlebaum, Megan St. John and Alexandria St. John.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made in memory of Fred Quattlebaum to the “Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.”
