Kay Brown Beck
Kay Brown Beck, 59 of Hankamer passed away on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Local visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 29th at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Lacon, Al. under the direction Peck Funeral Home in Hartselle, AL. Interment will follow in Eva Community Cemetery. A gathering of Kay's family and friends will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 28th at Peck Funeral Home in Hartselle, AL.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Columbus and Ruby Brown, son, William Beck, brother, Jimmie Brown. She was owner of Beck Bulk Transport. She loved baking, shopping and being with family.
Kay is survived by her husband of 40 years, Jerry Beck; daughters, Jennifer Beck, Jerry Lynn Garcia; sons, John Beck, Jason Beck, Jimmy Beck and wife, LaDonna; sisters, Loria Hartman and husband, Clyde, Edna McIntosh and husband, Ray; grandchildren, Dalton Beck, Sean Estes, Nolan Estes, Lauren Beck; and a host of other family and friends.

Carlton Eugene Stafford, 82, of Cullman passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1932, James and Mary Katherine Brown Stafford. Mr. Stafford was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was the original owner of Carlton’s restaurant.

Susan Werner died Monday, July 21, 2014, as a result of an apparent fall at her home in Gainesville, Florida. Susan grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and, after graduation from FSU, spent many years in Cullman, where she taught elementary school and received a master’s degree from UAB. While in Cullman, she married Robert Werner and helped run a family retail business.
