Funeral services for Tommy White, 78, of Holly Pond will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Carol Drinkard and the Rev. Dudley Brock officiating, with interment in Union Grove Cemetery.
Holly Pond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. White died Thursday, Nov. 29. He was born in Cullman County to Joseph Edgar and Veola Plunkett White. He was a retired truck driver with Dowdle Gas. He was a member of Bible Way Ministries.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Leon White, Carroll White and Jim White; and a sister, Velma White Gibbs.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Gail Woods White of Holly Pond; a son, Tommy Wayne (Margaret) White of Florida; three daughters, Wendy (Danny) Crigger of Smoke Rise, Reba (Johnny) Knisley of Arab and Kelli (Stephen) Cranford of Holly Pond; a brother, Aubrey White of Holly Pond; a brother, Aubrey White of Holly Pond; nine grandchildren, Melinda (Daniel) Silverthorn, Matt (April) White, Kody (Raechel) Allred, Joshua (Felica) Hilburn, Kandi “Shaye” (Jeremy) Todd, Kyle Allred, Hunter Hilburn, Dalton Crigger and Teddy Silverthorn; four great-grandchildren, Summer (Roger) Evans, Jordan Christi, Mataha White and Dakota White; and two great-grandchildren, Nick Evans, and one to arrive in March - Brooklyn Hilburn.
Pallbearers will be Mr. White’s grandsons.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
