Funeral services for Harmon Perry Mitchell Jr., 66, of Vinemont will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, DR. P.A. Delvecchio and Bro. Ernest Auston officiating, with interment in Livingston Chapel Cemetery.
Moss-Service Funeral Home of Cullman is directing.
Mr. Mitchell passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, at his home. He was born Aug. 26, 1946, in Cullman to Harmon and Nora Auston Mitchell Sr. Harmon worked for Americold and Rehau prior to his illness. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandchildren and his special time with his wife, Margaret, visiting flea markets and “junk” stores.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Dennis Mitchell.
Survivors include his wife or 47 years, Margaret Pruett Mitchell; two daughters, Robin McCulloch of Trinity and Nancy Mitchell Merrill of Mesa, Ariz.; a son, Mark (Shirley) Dickinson of Lanette; four sisters, Marylou Perry, Geree Baker, Debbie Murphree and Nella Faye Fincher; a brother, Tommy Mitchell; six grandchildren, Russell (Tina) Dickinson, Ryan McCulloch, Brittany Dickinson, Feribah Merrill, Nate Merrill and Auston Claire Merrill; and two great-grandchildren, Ryland McCulloch and Addi Dickinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Carlton Eugene Stafford
Carlton Eugene Stafford, 82, of Cullman passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1932, James and Mary Katherine Brown Stafford. Mr. Stafford was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was the original owner of Carlton’s restaurant.

Susan Werner died Monday, July 21, 2014, as a result of an apparent fall at her home in Gainesville, Florida. Susan grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and, after graduation from FSU, spent many years in Cullman, where she taught elementary school and received a master’s degree from UAB. While in Cullman, she married Robert Werner and helped run a family retail business.
