CULLMAN — Evia Duskin Ford

Funeral services for Evia Duskin Ford, 93, of Holly Pond will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Phillip Robertson officiating, with interment in Etha Cemetery.

Holly Pond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ford died Monday, Nov. 26, at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was a homemaker and a member of Eva Baptist Church, was very active in the church and community. She was also a member at the Holly Pond Senior Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Hassie Mitchell  Duskin; her husband, Hebron Silas Ford; a son, Charles Ford; 12 siblings; and a granddaughter, Lisa Ford.

Survivors include four sons, Hebron Silas “Junior” (Carolyn) Ford Jr., Donnie (Polly) Ford, Dwight (Barbara) Ford and Mark (Martha) Ford; two daughters, Mary Ruth (Charles) Molay and Teresia (Richard) Wiley; a daughter-in-law, Carol Weaver Ford; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Ford’s grandsons.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

    Carlton Eugene Stafford, 82, of Cullman passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1932, James and Mary Katherine Brown Stafford. Mr. Stafford was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was the original owner of Carlton’s restaurant.

    Susan Werner died Monday, July 21, 2014, as a result of an apparent fall at her home in Gainesville, Florida. Susan grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and, after graduation from FSU, spent many years in Cullman, where she taught elementary school and received a master’s degree from UAB. While in Cullman, she married Robert Werner and helped run a family retail business.
