CULLMAN — Sybil Speegle Wolf

Funeral services for Sybil Speegle Wolf, 87, of Crane Hill will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, the Rev. John Bussman officiating, with interment in Cullman City Cemetery. She will lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Wolf passed away Monday, Oct. 8, at the home of her daughter in Cullman. She was born April 5, 1925, in Cullman to Robert Dewey and Artie Shelton Speegle. She was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was employed at Sacred Heart Convent for a number of years and retired as a nurse at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, T.L. Elmus Speegle; her husband of 70 years, Fred E. Wolf; and two sons, Robert Fred Wolf and Kerry Dane (Ann) Wolf.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Wayne (Paula) Wolf of Aurora, Ill.; four daughters, Patricia (Dan) Krenzel and Shirley McCulloch, both of Cullman, Gara (David) Johnson and Frederica (Robert) Crumpton, both of Hoover; two brothers, Sherbon Speegle of Jacksonville, Fla., and Bill Speegle of Oneonta; three sisters, Jackie Underwood of Boaz, Pat Brown of Bastrop, Texas, and Sandy Drefke of Plainfield, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a greatly anticipated great-grandchild; a greatly anticipated great-great-grandchild; and a host of family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and Hospice of Cullman County.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
