CULLMAN — Rev. William Coleman Johnson

Funeral services for Rev. William Coleman Johnson, 79, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, at Salem Baptist Church, Bros. Cory Drummonds and Mike Parker officiating, with burial in Baldwin Heights Cemetery. He will lie-in-state at the church for one hour prior to the service.

Rev. Johnson was born Dec. 25, 1933, in Winston County to Homer and Eula Denson Johnson. He passed away Thursday, Aug. 15, at his residence. He was a man with many names, “Pappa” to his eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, whom he cherished so very much; “Tractor Man”, “Cuz”, “Abner” and “Brother”. Momma called him “Hunn” and his kids called him “Daddy”, and he loved them all. He was a longtime member at Salem Baptist Church, had attended seminary at Sanford University, and a member of the Cullman Masonic Lodge No. 421. Coleman was a worker, and did so throughout Cullman and Cullman County, but is most known for being the owner of International Harvest Tractor Dealership, which he ran for about 18 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, John Dewayne Johnson; two brothers, Carmon and Rocky Johnson; and two sisters, Doris Patterson and Maudean Baron.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Willodean Speegle Johnson; a son, Landell Johnson; two daughters, Denise (Allen) Beckham and Rhonda (Randy) Wynn; eight grandchildren, Leigh (Carl) Patillo, Abby (T.J.) Freeman, Zachary Johnson, Waylon (Roseanne) Echols, Gayla (Ron) Robbins, Kayla Beckham, Rasham (Patrick) Fulenwider and Ryan Wynn; 10 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jayden Patillo, Brody and Boston Freeman, Leah and Samantha Echols, LaShay and Lee Robbins, Blade and Jayda Fulenwider; three sisters, Janath (Hoyt) Winn, Judy Shaey Grace and Nell (Chuck) Nixon; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the church.

    Carlton Eugene Stafford, 82, of Cullman passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1932, James and Mary Katherine Brown Stafford. Mr. Stafford was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was the original owner of Carlton’s restaurant.
