CULLMAN — Artie Lou Johnson

Funeral services for Artie Lou Johnson, 88, of Cullman will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Larry Brown officiating, with interment in Center Grove Cemetery in Cullman.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Johnson died Wednesday, July 25, at her residence. She was born Dec. 23, 1923, in North Carolina to Horace and Lulu Moore Brown. She was a nurse at the Outer Drive Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Johnson; a son, George Davis; a granddaughter, Brenda Davis; a great-granddaughter, Danelle Ryder; two brothers; and five sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Ernie (Jamie) Davis and Bert (Elsie) Davis; a daughter-in-law, Sue Davis; two stepdaughters, Debbie May and Patty (John) Viola; a sister, Belvie (Gordon) King; a sister-in-law, Edith Brown; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Johnson’s grandsons, Eddie Davis, Justin Ergle, Steve David, Michael Adair, John Davis and Kanzaz Bailey.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
