MONT BELVIEU, TX — Joyce Craven Hinkle

Joyce Craven Hinkle, 81, of Mont Belvieu, Texas, was born July 6, 1932, in Cullman County. She passed away Friday, March 28, 2014, at home. She retired from Dixon Engineering and was a member of Old River Baptist Church. She took pride in being a “high tech” grandma, doing things such as paying bills online and sending out e-mails for the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Georgie Craven; brother and sister, Marshall Craven and Lillie Mae Williams; and daughter, Rita Jo Hinkle.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Milton Hinkle of Mont Belvieu; daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Tommy Huffman of Dayton; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and De Hinkle of Richmond; grandchildren, Travis Huffman, Tracie Mazzu and husband, Sammy, Jennifer Hinkle and Katelyn Hinkle; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Huffman and Georgia Mae Mazzu.

Her family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Navarre Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, the Rev. Danny Biddy officiating.

In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions may be made the Old River Baptist Church Building Fund, 12948 FM1409, Dayton, TX 77535.
