J.C. Campbell
Funeral services for J.C. Campbell, 80, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., formerly of Cullman, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Gary Waddell officiating, with interment in Blair Methodist Cemetery, with full military honors following the chapel service.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Campbell passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, at his residence. He was born Sept. 8, 1932, in Alabama to James J. and Climmie McCaferty Campbell. He was a veteran and retiree of the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Hilda Thompson Campbell; and seven brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Cooper Campbell of St. Port Lucie, Fla.; two sons, Roger (Roberta) Campbell of Cutler Bay, Fla., and Jeffery (Teresa) Campbell of Holly Pond; two stepsons, Thomas (Gail) Tate and Don (Renee) Tate, both of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a daughter, Barbara Campbell of Arab; a stepdaughter, Kathy (Mike) Mehal of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice or the Alzheimers Research Association.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
