Memorial services for Billy Joe Chafin, Sr. 74, of Hanceville will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel; David McGowan officiating.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Chafin passed away on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Eason Chafin and Vesta Latham Chafin and two brothers, James Chafin and Marion Eason Chafin Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Chafin; son, Billy Chafin; daughter, Amanda (Mark) Hardin; five grandchildren, Jonathan Chafin, Brooke Landers, Channing Hardin (Lucas) Dauksza, Isaac Hardin and Barrett Hardin; four great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church of Garden City or First Baptist Church of Hanceville.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
