Dora B. Thornton
Funeral services for Dora B. Thornton, 89, of Arley will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Nichols Funeral Home Chapel, Bro. Cory Drummond officiating, with burial in Fairview Cemetery in Addison.
Nichols Funeral Home in Addison is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Thornton entered into rest Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct. 31, 1922, in Wedowee, Ala., to Dee and Nancy Mattox.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orvil Thornton; her parents; a son, Orvil Thornton Jr.; and a daughter, Rebecca Griffith.
Survivors include two sons, Robert (Cheryl) Thornton and Kenny (Melody) Potter; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
