Funeral services for Faye Hancock, 83, of Center Hill will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, Center Hill Baptist Church, the Rev. Delbert Freeman officiating, with interment in Duck River Cemetery. Mrs. Hancock will lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hancock passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Hanceville Nursing and Rehab. She was born Oct. 25, 1929, in Cullman County to Huey B. and Ezma G. Nuss Whitaker. She loved to take trips with her sisters and also started a church in her community in honor of her son, Rocky. She will be greatly missed by all in her Center Hill community.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands, Hubert E. Gable and James Franklin Hancock; a son, Rocky Alan Gable; two sisters, Dorothy S. Dial and Virginia René Whitaker; and a brother, Ferris E. Whitaker.
Survivors include three children, Rita Faye (Gary) Patterson, Rhonda June (Richard) Wright and Barry Eskue (Carla) Gable; five grandchildren, Kristi A. Patterson, Amanda Jill Brown, Cliff A. Handley III, Jakob R. Gable and Emily J. Gable; two great-grandchildren, Blakelee A. Patterson and Zadie E. Handley; and her tenant family.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Ms. Sharon Capps Phillips, 69, of Springhill will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2014, at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, Mike Waters officiating, with interment at Springhill Cemetery.
James Edward McCravy
Funeral services for James Edward McCravy, 80, of Cullman will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Hanceville; with interment in Ebenezer Cemetery. He will lie in state one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
