Fred Endsley Fuller
Funeral services for Fred Endsley Fuller, 84, of Pelham will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church, the Rev. Bill Bostick officiating, with graveside services at 2 p.m. in Cullman City Cemetery.
Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Fuller passed away Thursday, Oct. 11. He was born and raised in Cullman, graduating from Cullman High School in 1946. He attended Auburn University, where he finished in mechanical engineering in 1950. In 1951, he entered the U.S. Army, serving for two years, one year in the Korean Conflict. As a mechanical engineer, he enjoyed a long career. He operated Fuller Engineering Associates in Homewood, Ala., for many years. An Eagle Scout, he served as a leader with Boy Scout Troop 93 in Hoover. He was very involved with the Fellowship class at Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Richardson Fuller.
Survivors include a son, Michael W. Fuller of Pelham; a daughter, Laurie (Frank) McCoy of Havelock, N.C.; two grandsons, Chase and Christian McCoy; a granddaughter, Alexis McCoy of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a brother, Asa B. Fuller of Knoxville, Tenn.
The family would like to thank Mrs. Eleanor Heyward for her years of friendship and assistance, and Ms. Sarah Parker of Moody, for her very able assistance during this last year of illness.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
