Sherri Love Knight
Funeral services for Sherri Love Knight, 50, of Blountsville will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, R.W. Dodd and John Lofty officiating, with interment in Knight-Cruz Cemetery in Blountsville.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Knight passed away Monday, March 4, at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Juanita Tuggle Downey; her daughter, La’Keisha Walker; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Marcie Johnson Pett and Margaret Wills.
She is survived by her wife of 21 years, Angela Knight; father of her children, Fernando Cruz; two children, Stephanie (Chris) Lusk and Alec Knight-Cruz; grandchildren, Darian Lusk, Gavin Lusk and Allie “Baby Girl” Lusk; five sisters, Faye Helton, Gwen Tucker, Loretta Nix, Lynn Willingham and Robin Staton; a brother, Chris Downey; and many other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Champion, Andrew Champion, Gary Foster, Brian Bridges, Cameron Calvert and John Lofty.
Honorary pallbearer will be Donald “Bro” Hallmark.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
