Funeral services for Wendell Fredrick Harbin, 71, of Cullman will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 16, at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Doug Forsyth and Reese Barnett officiating, with interment in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Berlin.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Harbin passed away Sunday, May 12, at Hanceville Nursing Home and Rehab. He was born Aug. 22, 1941, in Cullman to L.A. “Shorty” and Francis Inez Basenburg Harbin. He worked at Monsanto for 37 years in laboratory research. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cullman.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Betty Stallings Harbin; two sons, Terry (Suzanne) Harbin and Jeff (Diedre) Harbin; a sister, Gaydean (Johnny) Harris; three brothers, Dale (Norma) Harbin, Wayne (Linda) Harbin and Willard (Betty) Harbin; grandchildren, Tyler, Marla, Casey, Elizabeth, Hannah and Nick Harbin; his mother-in-law, Irene Stallings; four sisters-in-law, Ellen (Haskell) Berry, Brenda (Doug) Forsyth, Jan (Dewitt) Sanford and Tina (Bill) Holcombe; two brothers-in-law, Bud (Connie) Stallings and Marty Stallings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
