Funeral services for Earlean Vanderford Hill, 72, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Victory Baptist Church in Glen, Miss., Bros. Jim Winner, Alan Parker and Russ Whisenant officiating, with interment in Williams Cemetery in Rienzi, Miss. The body will lie in state from 5 p.m. Tuesday until service time Wednesday at the church.

Magnolia Funeral Home of Corinth, Miss., is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hill passed away Saturday, May 11, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster. She was born July 5, 1940. She was a member of Holly Pond Church of Christ in Holly Pond, Ala. Earlean was a Christian woman who openly loved the Lord and always wanted everyone to know Jesus. In the course of her 72-year life’s journey, she touched many lives. She loved and was loved by everyone. She enjoyed doing for others. One of her most famous attributes was her delicious cooking and sharing it with others. She was well known for her homemade canned pickles and her coconut cake. Spending time with family was precious and she always spoiled all the kids. Her hobbies were cooking, crocheting, quilting and fishing.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Pleasant Vanderford; her mother, Maude Irene Maness Vanderford; a son, Jeffery Wallace; five brothers, Lester Vanderford, Vester Vanderford, Clifford “Tip” Vanderford, Bobby “Jay” Vanderford and Olen Vanderford; a sister, Addie Lorean Smith; and her father-in-law, William Riley Hill.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Dallis Carl Hill Sr.; two sons, Dallis Carl (Patsy) Hill Jr. of Guys, Tenn., and John D. (Nancy) Hill of Huntsville, Ala.; a daughter, Carlean (J.C.) Parker of Corinth, Miss.; a sister, Mary Esteen Smith of Corinth, Miss.; her mother-in-law, Della Hill of Haleyville; two sisters-in-law, Helen Vanderford of Woodville, Fla., and Charlene Vanderford of Rienzi, Miss.; eight grandchildren, Cindy (Luther) Rhodes, Jeffery Reinbacher, Jayson (Cyndi) Johnston, Jeremy (Lindsay) Ford, Jessie Fletter, Billy (Nichole) Hill, Brandy Hill and John (Katie) Hill; 17 great-grandchildren, John Rhodes, Justin Rhodes, Rachel Reinbacher, Brandy Reinbacher, James Reinbacher, Dyllan Shaw, Taylor Johnston, Tyler Johnston, Hunter Shaw, Brayden Fuller, Cody Hill, Alissa Wilburn, Cadence Hill, Isabella Machado, Damonn Hill, Zayne Hill and Dawson McCuller; two great-great-grandchildren, Cameron Junkroski and McKenzie Junkroski; and a beloved pet for 10 years, Rowdy.
