Ishmael Barney ‘Ish’ Turner
Funeral services for Ishmael Barney “Ish” Turner, 93, of Jones Chapel will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. Jeff Steele and Rev. Andy Fogle officiating, with burial in Jones Chapel Cemetery.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Turner, a World War II veteran, died Monday, Jan. 7. He was born April 9, 1919, to Leander Lee and Samantha Fortenberry Turner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Velma Turner; his infant daughter, Katie Mae Turner; and his sister, Lorene Turner.
Survivors include three daughters, Cathy (Bobby Joe) Skinner, Connie Turner, both of Cullman, and Onita (Joe) Young of Vinemont; a sister, Myrtle Laseter of Cullman; three grandchildren, Cretia (Gene) Dailey of Huntsville, Joey (Shelley) Skinner of Cullman and Ishella (Andy) Fogle of Florence; and seven great-grandchildren, Kayla Dailey, Benjamin Dailey and Patrick Dailey, all of Huntsville, Makenzie Fogle, Laurel Fogle and Amy Jo Fogle, all of Florence, and Katie Skinner of Cullman.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
