Graveside services for Imogene Gilley Bennefield Hill Barnett, 89, of Jonesboro, Ga., formerly of Cullman, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan 9, 2013, at Holly Pond Cemetery, Evangelist C.C. Hinton officiating.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Barnett passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, at Jonesboro Nursing and Rehab. She was born July 23, 1923, in Cullman County to John Lee and Elnor V. Gilley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Bertis Lynuel Bennefield and John L. Hill; brothers, Hulet and Hobert Gilley; sisters, Etha Camp Wood, Audie Belle Peak and Olene Tennyson; and a grandson, Benny John Benefield.
Survivors include two sons, Johnny (Becky) Bennefield of Hampton, Ga., and Robert (Tanja) Benefield of Barnesville, Minn.; two grandchildren, Tammy Jackson and Rodney Benefield; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimers Foundation or to one’s favorite charity.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
