CULLMAN — Julia Faye Jordan Ponder Fehler

Funeral services for Julia Faye Jordan Ponder Fehler will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at St. Paul’s LCMS Lutheran Church in Cullman, Pastor John Bussman officiating. She will lie in state from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church on Wednesday. At her request, the casket will remain closed.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Julia, as she was known, died Sunday morning, June 16, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was 90.

Preceding Judy in death were her parents, Herbert J. and Vera Jordan; her husband of 51 years, George W. Ponder Jr.; her husband of 15 years, George A. Fehler; and a brother, H.J. “Jim” Jordan Jr.

Survivors include her son, George (Jean) Ponder III; two grandsons, George W. (Deborah) Ponder IV and Michael R. (Zonya) Ponder; four great-grandchildren, Brittany Ponder, Tristan O. Ponder, George E. Ponder and Jessie Ponder; and a brother, William H. Jordan.

Mrs. Ponder-Fehler was a Christian lady who served the community and her family with quietness and respect. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or school, so young people in the community might have an opportunity to learn the Christian principles that Judy lived every day of her life.

There will be no viewing and the funeral service will honor her Savior calling her home.
