Funeral services for Gregory E. Bishop, 41, of Blountsville will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009, at Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Larry Nail and Sherman Bailey officiating, with burial in Holly Pond Cemetery.
Holly Pond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bishop died Tuesday, Aug. 25, at Cullman Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Jefferson County to Larry and Nancy Butts Bishop. He worked at Thompson Tractor Co. and was the president of the Holly Pond Saddle Club, Deep South Anglers and former member of Sky Ball Mountain Hunt Club.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Cleveland and Ethel Butts and Bill and Lillie Bishop.
Survivors include his wife, Bethany Wright Bishop of Blountsville; parents; a daughter, Cassandra Bishop (Brandon) Woods of Vinemont; a brother, Kevin Bishop of Blountsville; a grandson, Jonathan Bradley Woods of Vinemont.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Bishop, Robert Grigsby, Kim Malone, Tony Malone, David Bradford and Dale Hamm.
