Lillie Jeanette Southern Nails

CULLMAN — Funeral services for Lillie Jeanette Southern Nails, 74 of Vinemont, will be Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Rev. Billy Gable officiating, with interment in Enon Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Nails died Saturday, Oct. 31, at Woodland Village Nursing Home.

She was a faithful Christian, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved to cook, tend her flowers, quilt and go to Gospel singings. She will be greatly missed by both her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Nails; two sons, Rickey (Denise) Nails and Randy (Sheila) Nails, all of Vinemont; a daughter, Annette Bailey of Vinemont; two brothers, Garry (Pam) Southern of Decatur and Cecil (Lucy) Southern of Dade City, Fla; five sisters, Agnes (J.D.) Tucker of Cullman, Shelby Jones of Moulton, Sue (Melvin) Schaefer of Cullman, Linda Cathey of Benton-Harbor, MIich., and Joyce Burrow of Vinemont; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Alicia) Nails of Decatur, Marly (Ben) Smith of Decatur, Robert Robertson of Sacramento, Calif., and Lori (Josh) Herald of Apex, N.C.; and three great-grandchildren Addie Nails, J.J. Herald and Ethan Herald.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Livingston, Mel Schaefer, Donnie Long, Steve Nails, Bennie Lindsey and Quinnon Tucker.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
